Three strikes!

The show started with Emily having breakfast in bed delivered by her mother…this single mothers life looks pretty damn good!

Date #1 (Alone Date) Chris – “Love is a steady climb”
The date started with Emily and Chris walking the streets of downtown Charlotte.  She surprised Chris by making him climb to the top of a building for a roof top dinner.  Emily said, “I want a man who stays by my side good and bad.”  What better way to find out if he will stay by your side than to climb a building, because that happens in your every day life!   A thunderstorm begins when they are halfway up the building and Emily starts freaking out!  Chris tries to calm her down and the town paparazzi cheers her on from the street.  Surprise, surprise, she managed to make it to the top of the building.

At dinner Emily tells Chris that if she were to see him at a bar she would not go up to talk to him because she would have been to nervous.  This starts off the conversation about their past relationships.  Chris begins with his “young love” story and mentions that he is 25yrs old.  Emily has a moment where she visibly panics!

Flash to the Charlotte mansion with Tony calling his son.  Awe….

Back to Emily & Chris - Chris desperately tries to explain that he may be young, but he is a MAN!  He says “I’m at a point in my life where I have experienced a lot.” – at a young 25!  Emily tells the camera that she is going to follow her heart and that age doesn’t matter.  She then gives him Rose #1.

They end the date with a private concert - Luke Brian (Amanda’s guy! J).  Once again they dance and the town paparazzi cheers them on.  Chris asks to kiss her at the end of the song, she teases him by telling why don’t you try and find out.  She gives in to his luscious lips, and Chris tells the camera that it was “the greatest experience of his life.”  After their first dance Luke invites the town to dance in the street with Chris and Emily.

Date #2 (Group Date) – Charlie, Alejandro, Stevie, Ryan, Alessandro, Sean, John, Michael, Jef, Doug, Tony, Travis – “Let’s Play…”
I did have to laugh that they called Sean and then John! J
Emily takes the boys to a park to play football.  They start to joke around a bit with the ball and then Emily tells them that she will be right back.  She goes around the corner and meets up with four of her girlfriends.  She tells them that she wants to introduce them to the boys she is on a date with and asks them to find out who would be the best father (i.e. intimidate them).  Emily goes back to the boys and totally shocks them by bringing them to her girlfriends (who by the way are all moms) for the interrogation session.  “If this all works out, these will become your friends too!” she says.

Tony begins by impressing the girls because he is a father.  Doug pulls the same trick.  The girls ask ostrich boy about the egg, and seem to be rather freaked out by him.  John clearly lies when asked if he has ever cheated.  They make Stevie do push ups, and just about every other guy does a dance performance.  Sean impresses the girls by telling them about his faith.  Her girlfriend, Wendy, gets him to take off his shirt and do push ups while she sits on him. – Emily better watch out!

Phase 2 of ‘The Intimidation’!  Emily blows her whistle and 20 kids come running at them.  Emily watches the boys play with the kids, and “figures out who can talk about kids and back it up.”  Ryan loses points by telling Emily that she better not get fat after they get married because “he would still love her, but would not love on her”.  Sean, Doug, and Ryan were the three boys who won over Emily’s friends.  Doug and Sean stood out the most to Emily.

Phase 3 of ‘The Intimidation’ – A nightcap at ‘Butter’.   Emily pulls Sean aside and he continues with the ‘I’m picky’ story.  Doug tells Emily his sob story – father dying and being raised by a foster family.  Tony tells Emily he is having a hard time being away from his son, and starts to tear up.  Jef tells her he has a major crush on her.

Tony confides in Doug and tells him that he doesn’t know if he can continue to be away from his son.  Tony calls his son and then cries in a corner.  Tony gets caught by Emily crying in the corner.  Emily once again tries to console him by telling him how difficult it was for her on the Bachelor.  She then sends him home because she isn’t 100% into him and wants him to be with his son because she doesn’t see herself with him in the end.  Emily breaks it to the other guys that she sent him home.  No one seems to fight her about her decision.  She then gives Rose #2 to Sean.

Date #3 (Alone Date) Arie – “Love is a wild ride”
Emily flies Arie to Tennessee to attend Dollywood for their date.  Apparently it is the “happiest place on earth” for Emily.  She goes on the large roller coaster with Arie for the first time.  After the roller coaster they check out the Celebrity Theater (where Dolly sings).  On the stage are 2 pieces of paper that said ‘write a love song’.  As they are writing their love song Dolly walks onto the stage to sing a song.  Emily freaks out!  Dolly sings a song she wrote for Emily.  All Emily can say is “I could die!”  Dolly and Emily have a little girl talk without Arie.  To finish off the experience Dolly sings Emily and Arie a song that she wrote for her husband.  Dolly thinks this one is a keeper!

They end the date with dinner in a barn.  Emily quickly dives in and asks Arie about the girl that he dated with two kids.  He tells her how it ended and that the hardest part was missing her kids.  Emily grills a little more to find out if Arie really is ready for kids.  They then move on to talking about Arie’s career as a racer.  He passed the test and received Rose #2.  They end the date on the merry-go-round.  Emily tells the camera that Arie reminders her of prior guy (Ricky).

Cocktail Party
Emily begins the Rose Ceremony by telling the boys that she has a couple crushes.  She then steals Kalon away.  He tells her that he took it personally that he didn’t get a date.  She asks him how he feels about her having a child.  He tells her that he imagined that his first kid would be his own.  She interrupts him and he tells her “I love it when you talk, but I wish you would let me finish”.  WOW!

Ostrich boy sets “Shelly” free!  He allows Emily to break the egg!  Emily meets with the guy with long hair that I can’t remember his name….she asks him her famous question “how do you think you would be as a dad?”  He tells her that it would be a compromise for him to be a dad.  He (Alessandro) continues to try to explain to Emily how much of a compromise being a dad would be.  Obviously she sent him home!  I am so thankful because I was getting tired of spelling his name.  Now if she would vote off Alejandro I’d be complete!  The best part was that he left “shocked”!

She went back into the house pissed off, got a drink, and vented to Arie.  Arie consoled her with a kiss, or two, or three…  Emily tells the camera that she doesn’t think she sees all of the guys as a father figure for her daughter.  She meets with Sean and he tells her that he is prepared to be the greatest father that a girl knows.  They seal the conversation with a kiss.
